Information we process
- Visitor identifier – A random first-party cookie (vi_visitor) used only to enforce the daily free search limit. It does not contain your name, email or phone number.
- IP address – Processed for rate limiting, abuse prevention and basic security logging. We do not use it to build marketing profiles.
- User-agent – Stored in short-term security logs to help detect automated abuse.
- Search counters – Daily counts of successful searches linked to the visitor identifier, stored in a private JSON file and automatically cleaned after a short retention period.
Why we process this information
- To provide the search service and enforce the two free searches per day limit
- To protect the service against abuse and excessive automated requests
- To maintain basic security and operational logs
Cookies
We use one essential first-party cookie to remember your visitor identifier. It is set with Secure, HttpOnly and SameSite attributes. See our Cookie Policy for more detail.
Third-party services
Vehicle data is retrieved from an upstream information provider. We do not send your personal contact details to that provider. Links to our Telegram bot take you to Telegram’s platform, which has its own privacy policy.
Data retention
- Daily search counters are kept for a short period (approximately 7 days) and then removed.
- Security logs are rotated and limited in size; older entries are discarded.
- We do not retain full vehicle search results on our servers after the response is delivered to you.
Your rights
You may request information about the data we hold related to your visitor identifier, or request deletion of the associated counters and logs, by contacting us via the Data Removal Request page or our Telegram bot.
Security measures
We use HTTPS, security headers, input validation, rate limiting, and keep private configuration and storage files outside the public web root. No security measure is perfect; please use the service responsibly.
